Advertising?

Hey guys,

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic So please forgive me if this has been asked before.

Anyhow, I was wondering what the best ways to advertise a new club is? I've done the classified ads in SL and haven't gotten anything out of them. I've also been posting in the events section of this forum and haven't really gotten much from them either

So, if anyone has any ideas on how to help make a club grow, I'd be forever thankful!

Clubs are a very paraoxical thing. You need peopl there to get peole to go there. Bots and campers don't cut it because if I don't have real people to interact with I'm gone in 60 seconds.

Other than spending a lot of time there meeting, greeting and coercing your frinds to hang around and chat with anyone who shows, I really don't know how to help. The best I can do is give you a bump.

Are there any club or entertainment type blogs out there that you can get mentioned in? I know there are a lot of fashion blogs that bring attention to many stores.

All the clubs I've hung out in I've found through the in-world event search or through friends. (Which probably means I've missed a lot of great clubs...) I don't think I've ever even checked the classifieds for club listings, and I don't use the event listings in the forums because if I'm reading them, I'm generally not in-world.

My experience has been that it's hard to build up a base of regulars and you just have to keep trying different things to see what clicks. (And then it changes!) Theme nights, costume competitions, trivia, DJs, might or might not work at any given time.

You have to keep paying money for people to come in. Contests, games, etc. This is why clubs don't make any money unless they have escorts/rentals.
