I am thinking of buying an island but on the web site it says

All current Estate purchase rules apply, including creditworthiness and a clean disciplinary record

How strict are they on the creditworthiness and is that sl credit or reallife do they actually run a credit check on a person or do they look at your sl credit

i have owned 3 sims in sl for a while but they are main land and the bills were paid on time

but i have some black marks on my personal credit history in reallife from a couple years ago will my past keep me from owning an island

I'm pretty sure that if your credit card / payment method is good for the US$1675 then that's all that really matters.

Wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

Dragger, I know for a fact that LL doesn't pull your credit report to buy an island: you just buy it. They probably mean someone who has "defaulted" in the past somehow on SL property; like owned an estate and just let it lapse, and removed their banking info when LL tried to draw on it: that type of stuff.
