land ...traffic and SL..GRRRRRR

I just tried to add a small parcel to my land.... which is close to half a sim and split between myself SB Lighting and Juicee ...each of us have seperate information ..land adds traffic etc.
I added this small parcell *512* to my land and all of a sudden the WHOLE HALF A SIM became ONE PARCEL!!!!!! under normal circumstances I would be pissed as it is, but its TOTALLY bolloxed my traffic for today ... wrecked my land adds and as the parcels wernt totally square its going to be VERY difficult to put everything back to where it was .... WHY WHY WHY!!!!! cant I just add to a parcel ... I know its group land ... but they are seperate parcels so essentially im just fed up ... pissed off..... and confused. Ive split and joined this land LOADS of times ..... but seems that now I cant with out it being a MASSIVE problem.

you knew that would happen if you joined the parcels, yeah?

I'm confused as to how you've joined all your parcels.

there was two parcels ....... SB ... and Juicee, I tried to add a peice of land that I bought to the SB part as it was next to it .. but insteand of joinging the SB land and the new peice it joined ALL the land all three seperate parcels into one Uber parcel.
Something I certainly didnt want to do.
Even if I try to get a parcel in no way linked to juicee .... it STILL links juicee to that parcel

what you like did was cut much of the land in the area and forgot a small piece at the end...that is joined to the larger piece. You probably didnt notice the sqm of the selected piece.

I have sold land really cheap with this mistake, if I cut land in the middle and the two sides are still joined...and you set the one side for sale, you are selling both sides. I was caught off guard and I check every time now.

Thats actually really odd...Im assuming that when you did this, the entire parcel got the lower bit of traffic instead of the high amount? Whenever I have joined land before it always got the high traffic number.

Have heart though, its only for today, traffic numbers will go up again...good luck!

I got a 512 ...... sectioned it off ......... the tried to add a 256 to the plot no where near the rest of the other parcels..... and it went like this

The minute i got about 7000sqm it all became one plot no matter where I joined it from or how big or small the parcels was. It all became Juicce traffic which wasn bad ... BUT of course we are different sectors... me lights juicee clothes (rl partners) guess im just gonna have to accept the loss..... and also accept that unless I want to loose the 16000 traffic that juicee has (omg if i did im dead) i need to just leave it as it is.

Um, well the good news is the traffic resets daily, it does not function in a way that it just keeps adding on. So in about 24 hours, you will be all set again.

I remember running into an instance where it mattered WHICH parcel you select first and then drag the selection box over the into the other parcel to join them. My big lot lost its traffic, media, landing spot, and title that way. I reset the lots and info and tried it again by selecting the other lot first and it successfully added the little lot without nuking the big parcels land info.
Also ran into the same problem with accidentally annexing part of one of my other lots as well, but that was before I found out you dont have to totally surround the whole lot with the terrain selection box when merging them... a mere 16m selection of part of a parcel is enough to join the whole two pieces.

They way I do it is to start selecting land in the parcel that has the settings I want to keep. I make sure that I select more land in that parcel than I plan to select in other. So select first and more in the parcel with the good settings. I have never had it not work for me.

Hmm interesting so more by joining parcels together, less people turn up to buy things................................

nope......I tried the bigger parcel to the little parcel which it did .... but also disolved the parcels lines between mine and the misses store so my and her store became ONE BIG STORE ...called juicee (her store)
As a result all my settings including traffic count dissapeared so when searched in places, rather than being number 2 im not there at all. Ive managed to restore almost all settings but i cant get the land back into the shape it was.... so parts of my store are now juicee and parts of juicee are mine. Ive tried splitting the land into all different configs but nothing seems to work that much.
Just as a point though.. I tried to do it in small amounts but when ever I tried to join the main parcel to the new part or visa versa it becomes the mega parcel. I have also tried splitting my parcel away from Juicee but it still happens. The only final option is to take it out of group and parcel it out then buy it back peice by peice, but somehow i dont think that would work either,
