Ok, enlighten me. Is there some way to force the dashboard to not show XStreet items? I don't mind it being there, but I don't want it showing me anything that's not PG. And apparently, somebody, somewhere, messed up. Either the adult filter on XStreet isn't working, or the merchants aren't filing their stuff correctly. I get stuff like this happening all the time, and it's really bugging me.
I'll refrain from further complaints about the website and "forum" due to Been There, Done That.

Skip going to the main SL site and just bookmark the Community page -- via the link at the top of this page. I never go to the main SL page anymore - have not been there in forever. The Community page gives you full access to all of your account stuff and your friends list.

Ok, a confession. When I saw that ad on my page, I secretly clicked on it and watched the video. Yeeesh! Amazing what people will spend their time designing.  (Oh, and btw, where's the MALE version???? Hmmmm?) On a more (*ahem*) serious note, I can't take much exception to something as stupid as this, but I'm mildly concerned, I suppose, that something more explicit, or even potentially triggering, might slip through. So I'll ask, what IS the procedure for Xstreet? Submit a ticket? _____________________

XSL has different guidelines to inworld. The website is more focussed on visuals rather than language

Xstreet SL isn't a members-only website; it's open to the public. Therefore, the law dictates that Xstreet SL must ensure that only PG-rated material is available to the casual browser. The following items must be marked as Adult: * Patently offensive, obscene, vulgar, or profane language * Visual depictions of death, dismemberment, or serious bodily injury * Visual depictions of patently offensive sexual conduct including, but not limited to, sex acts between consenting parties and masturbation * Visual depictions of nudity including, but not limited to, exposed pubic area,genitalia, buttocks, and female nipples as with inworld, they don't monitor their site. If you think something breaches the guidelines then you should report it. This is the reason you'll see sex huds etc in pg, as long as the pictures are suitable you can advertise in the censored part of the site. _____________________

Truth is, even with all the smut in SL, it's just like anything else in the world. There's something for everyone, all tastes. It's also a lot more "wholesome" than my last job - package pusher at FedEx, where the guys hit on anything with boobs, and everyone talks like a sailor. Yeesh, the things I heard in the cafeteria...Scylla hit the nail on the head: It's not the products I've seen thus far that bother me, so much as the fact that other things that might bother me more could show up there tomorrow.
