Hello and thanks for your time. Does anyone know if blonde and gray hair mixed together is available in SL ? I know salt and pepper (black and gray or white) is available but so far I have not seen blonde and gray or blonde and white.

Does anyone know, and if so, can you point me in the right direction ? Thanks.

Steve

Try Bryce and try Robin Sojourner's island - both had some male hairdos I had not seen anywhere else. But, I do not specifically recall blond/grey or blond/white. The latter especially, would be a bit hard to texture I'd think.

Sometimes if you make a suggestion to a creator they will say "hey great idea" and make it for sale. It is always worth a try if you like someone's work. And think they would be amenable.

I seem to recall Sn@tch may have one. Almost positive I have it in my inventory.

Edit: Just realized you meant for male hair. Mmm, well they still might, or you may be able to use the female hair. Check it out anyway.

If the hair is mod you can buy a gray or whited haired 'do and put in some blonde highlights.

Tami McCoy's "Sunkissed" color is blond streaked white, but it has an effect similar to what you need, the streaks being fairly broad.

Failing that, I would try getting any mod blond (or platinum) hair with white streaks and adding a hint of gray. Some of ETD's freebie packs have a full set of colors, good for experimenting. Her textures generally take to recoloring pretty well.

Don't know about male hair, but I've always had either platinum or ash blonde with black highlights/tips. They have pretty full selections of those, for women's hair anyway, at ETD or damselfly. And another place that I can't remember offhand . . .

I have it, it's blond and I put grey in as well somehow, I can't remember how I did it now but it can be done.

If the hair is modifyable:

First, copy and paste so in case you mess it up, your original copy of the hair is intact. Then on one copy of the hair:

Right click, edit.

Click "edit linked parts" in the edit window. It's in the main part of edit.

Now click on single pieces of hair, click "texture" in the edit mode, click the color window, and choose a grey color. Save that color by dragging it into one of the little color slots. Hit save.

Repeat.

it's got to many prims for me to do that, but I did get the gray tone in with just colouring the whole blond over (I think, I'm not in world atm to look) and so it shows as grey a bit as it moves...

Also if you are blond, grey doesn't show a lot anyway... well mine doesn't.

PS, the makers name is Calico Ingmann

Okay. Steve. Steve, is it? Right. Now repeat after me, grey hair bad, blond hair good.
Lol I dont have grey yet but I have it coloured and tinted. Why not look for silver or pearl? Don't go Marie Antoinette on us.

Give Truth's "Steel-Ivory" colour a go. They have various L$1 'everything' packs in the female section which will give you an idea of the colour range, and you can then find a male style in the colour that works best. Steel-Ivory is the closest that I can find from that store.

Also, I logged inworld and messed around with adding a faint yellow hue to Novocaine's (also on Truth Island) grey hair texture (from their Whites.v1 hair packs). An RGB hue of 225, 224, 213 doesn't look too bad; probably not as much blond as you'd prefer, but it gives a decent 'dirty grey-blond' effect:

I went to Bryce's store at Tully 185,192,25. I came across the Holmes style, which is short and side parted. The shade I like most is Salt and Peppers - Mist, which has some gray and some blonde.

I didn't think it would be this easy. Thanks again. :)
