Hi all. Me again wit' anudder idjit-type question:
I just bought my neighbor's land and want to merge it with the parcel I already own. In the 'edit land' thingy the 'join' button is always greyed out, yet both parcels say they can be joined or subdivided. What am I not doing???:confused::confused:

Right click > Edit Terrain.

Make sure the "Select" radio button is the one that has the dot on it.

Draw a box that covers some of the parcel you have and some of the parcel you have bought. It only needs to be tiny or you can go as big as you feel like!

Once that yellow box is on both lands, then the JOIN button should be activated.

Right click > Edit Terrain is correct.

You need to choose select land first and use your mouse to drag a yellow box across both parcels. Then the join buttom will be made available to you. :)

The only way this would not work is if you don't own both parcels or one is on a different sim.

You have to drag the box across the parcels where they join, then release it and then you should be able to click join. They need to have the same owner for it to work.

you can also do this with land you bought on a completely different part of the same sim. you have to fly up high though, to see what you are doing.

I just bought a tiny plot, deeded it to a group and it wont let me join them, says not enough leased parcels in selection to join. ANY IDEA WHAT THIS MEANS lol

I just want the land prims etc to be part of the rest of the land

No need

Hi Titania,

There's actually no need to join parcels if you only want the prims for use. This automatically happens with any land in the same sim with the same owner.

are you sure about that ?
from what i understand, if the land isnt deeded to the owners group but is owned by the same owner, the prim count is seperate on each parcel that isnt joined.

I dont own both plots. My partner owns one plot and i bought another plot and deeded it to a group, BUT i found out WHY it wont join, the main land isnt group owned, just owned by the group owner, if that makes sense lol. But no worries, the land i bought was on the same sim, I just wanted to grab it before someone else did and stick something ugly on it ;)

Thanks
