Any idea when the lindens will fix the friends list on their web site? I use that to detect who of my friends are online when i can't log into SL. I've had to do without this feature for over a week now and it kinda disturbs me to do without it for so long.

Me too, especially as the website list is often more accurate than the in-world one.

Also true. Even though it was a external resource it worked better then the internal version.

Don't expect this to be fixed anytime soon. With the "Tao if Linden" no one gets tasked with doing anything that actually needs to be done, we just have to wait until someone at LL decides that they want to do it. This is why the BB code has been off for so long in the forums and why we see far more new features than fixes to long term problems.

It is a piss poor way to run a business.

Not too long ago I asked about IM'ing from without to within. I was given this helpful suggestion:

http://code.google.com/p/sleek/

I downloaded it and installed it to my thumbdrive and it works like a dream! Further - it does show you who is in world. It does not hide your presence, though - so if stealth is necessary this won't work. But it does give u limited access.

I use SLeek from work and it’s pretty nice really. There are no graphics or any visual clues to what’s going on around you, but you can IM, chat, check Friends list, Search and see your Inventory. There is a Teleport option but without being able to see anything I’ve not tried it.
Your av can have that ruthed zombie look too so you may want to set your home location someplace out of the way.

The Necrophilia aspect of your unoccupied body can be rather creepy! A friend took my picture and sent it to me... not real attractive lol!

Well i don't really want to have to log in to see who is online. I liked having that page list it. I guess I'm going to have to script a friends list in a prim and have it send the results to my website... This will take days of labor though.
