Group land back to original resident owner

Hi,
I have an original tier free 512 plot which is currently donated to a group. I want to regain the land from the group (which is fine with the group, BTW) and one way I thought would be to sell the land to myself for $1L . . but when I was about to try this I saw a tier fee $5 US appear in the before sale screen? Currently it is tier free.
Could anyone explain how to regain the plot from the group tier free, please?

first, take back any tier you have donated to the group.
second, set the land for sale to yourself.

Dave. When you say tier free, do you mean it is within estate sim, or are you referring to the 512m2 allowance that comes with premium account? |

Dave. Do what Nina said. When you remove your donation from the group you will get a warning, but you can ignore it if you sell your land back to you right away... not sure what the actual time limit is, though. Having tier donated to a group is the same as owning that amount of land as far as tier fees go. |

From: Dave Centaur sell the land to myself for $1L Unless it's been changed, selling land for L$0 instead of L$1 is generally preferred since it actively forces you to sell the land to someone by name. |
