I've been experiencing an issue and thought perhaps it was "just me" until someone else mentioned it this morning. Before I wade through the jira, is anyone else experiencing an issue with your windows (edit, inventory, map, etc) appearing to your far far right when you log in, to the point where you almost can't grab them?

Did you change resolution on your monitor? This happened to me a couple of times when I've changed resolution on previous versions.

I have found since the beginning of the 1.20.xx client that it works best when you include --settings <filename> in the command line and make an explicit XML settings file. I've been doing it since RC4 or so and I don't know if it ever got debugged. (o.o)
My other reason for the --settings option is for when I go dual client. I use --login, totally different configurations than usual, and I have XML files specifically for the left - right window layout I prefer to use. (^_^)y

From: HoneyBear Lilliehook *blink* I understood the first five words. Oop... My inner-geek slips out again. (T_T) What I think it is with the RC is that it's not really friendly with its configuration file. Now, that may have been fixed already by RC13. But, with the way I'm doing things, the fix would be invisible to me. (^_^) The questions above are sensible though... Do you run windowed and resize a lot? The inworld windows and HUD attach points don't exactly like being resized much and get stuck in really funny locations. (=_=) If this is happening on every relog though.... I think it's your settings file getting borked. Try reading a bit on --settings here http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Client_parameters. I think even deleting the settings.xml file will cause the client to slip back to defaults and give you the chance to re-configure everything from scratch. But, be careful, that is what it means... All that "fun" stuff you had to do to make SL nice will be lost and you'll have to put the time in to making things right again. (^_^)y

I haven't had any of those problems... it has been perfect. I'm quite happy with it - in fact I haven't used any Nich browsers since RC12(ish), and I used to be a diehard Nich advocate.
... and I havent' done any kind of command line, XML, settings, geek magic.
