Help, I have started selling items on slexchange and it says copy, modify when I set it to sell but when I gave it to someone on a test run, they were unable to copy it. It is completely buggy. It did this for all the items I currently have (which is only 4 items btw. :( I can't figure out what the problem is.

you probably have objects linked that are no-copy.. you have to check the perms of each piece

Always set perms on things when they are rezzed in the world (including any scripts and stuff inside), then pick them up and rez them again to make sure nothing changed. Changes you make to perms on things sitting in your inventory don't always "take" like you'd expect them to.

are you trying to set permissions on the website or on the object itself?

You have to set the item permissions on the object in world before putting it in the box

Then you can specify what the permissions are when setting up the item on the site.

when an object is linked, the permission you set applies to all prims in the linkset, sometimes it is best to check and uncheck then recheck just to make sure the settings take (by check I mean click the checkbox)

if you have scripts, textures, items, animations, or anything inside of one or more of the prims in the linkset, that are set to say.. no copy, then the whole thing will become no copy (but will not show in the linkset permissions)

the best thing to do is keep trying and have a friend test it (or an alt) until you are sure it is reacting the way you want it to.
