Semi invisible group

Hello. Something rather weird is happening in my account. i joined one group a few months ago. Now that I want to leave it, I can't. It is not in my groups list. But below, it counts towards the group count total. It also shows up in my profile. So I am in the group. I sent IMs to the only two group admins with powers to remove me. But they have not responded in quite a while. Is there any way I can make the group show in the groups list? or any way to leave the group from the group info window? Thanks

IM'ing the group owner is the only other way to get out. If they stay absent, you will have to open a support ticket for that bug.

Is the group in your communication tab under groups?
there should be list their and way to click the leave button.
The way the have groups listed changed few months back ago its now apart of the friend list in another tab.
Click Communicate, pop up of box with friend list should show up their will be a group tab.

I had this happen once, one of the list owners was online - would not remove me either. It apparently is a bug with the groups list on occasion (in jira). I endered a web-ticket and within a few days a nice Linden removed me from the group.

I would be tempted to look for the group, rejoin it and see if it appears in your list, then leave it. It might not work though.

Guess I'll get a ticket if nothing happens. To answer all posts. Yes. I know where groups are in the comunications tab. That's where I first noticed there was in an extra group (which I never used or interacted with) "You belong to # groups from a maximum of 25". I IMed them yet again for removal, hoping they do it. Also. I am officially in the group so I can't re-join it. Thanks for your time all.

No it's not. Also, I tried the ticket submission. I switched to basic a few days back. which means, there's no support for me other than the limited questions posted on the submission form. Guess my only way is to just keep spamming the three owners until I'm heard. :/

Try downloading 1.18.2 (http://download-secondlife-com.s3.amazonaws.com/Second%20Life%201-18-2-1%20Setup.exe) which should be the oldest viewer that still works.

You can install SL into a *different* folder than the one you're currently using and it won't mess up whatever version you're currently using.

Log on with the old viewer and see if it won't let you leave the group proper and then just switch back to the viewer you normally use.

Hi Hanumi - I raised a ticket tho' only Basic subscription on this same problem - Group membership shows in Profile but not in Comms window Group list. Profile has 19 alphabetically listed groups while comms window has 'none' plus 18 alphabetically.

Been advised by LL to clear cache and reboot, whichI've done repeatedly to no effect so I've just reactivated the ticket. Fingers crossed something will come of it.

Direct support to http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2633. It's been a known bug for over two months.

(And I would still try 1.18.2 as well )

Now, I did see the jira post after some time of looking around. I'll try the 1.18.2 option and see where it gets me. Thanks.

EDIT: it worked. I uninstalled the newer viewer, going to the lenght of also deleting what stays untouched by the uninstaller in the docs and settings/username/application data folder. then installing the old viewer. Group came right up in the groups window. Thanks all for the help. My problem with this specific issue has been solved.

I've got my system working again too, but via Nicolaz edition on latest Windlight release. No response from LL on reopened ticket.
Looks ok but now need to understand retro issues - little red/green packet lodd/bandwidth bars in top right are from before my time!
