Hi,

I have a large amount of tier sqm going spare (can't afford to buy land atm - this may change in a couple of months). Are there individuals or groups who rent tier?

Is this even allowed?

I've seen it being done in the past, so don't think there is a problem. I would have thought the best thing to do is place an add in the classified forums.

IM me for their names. Very upstanding land bot runners who give back mistakes when asked and rent tier as well as offer mainland rentals in addition to their land sales.

There was a time when Elanthius could have crashed the land market and still made a profit on his bot gotten land, but he always was careful to keep his prices above the lowest listing in the market.

I know ethical bot runner sounds like a oxymoron, but that's what the ninjas are.

It's a corner of horrors beyond belief. We think the guy deliberately created it as such to get rid of neighbouring property owners. Glad to hear this group is not about to make it worse.

Last I heard, tier was renting at about $L75 to 77 per week per 512.

I assume that's the price someone is offering to rent tier off of someone else, rather than the price given by someone who is offering tier? It's very low; that's the equivalent of about US$150 per month for a full sim.

Yes, that's the price offered. You'd expect it to be low. After all, if it was more than $195/mo for a sim's worth of tier, it would make more sense just to pay the tier.

you make a group

the person you rent tier from 'donates' tier to group

then you can buy more land for the group without having to pay more tier to LL

you pay the person you rent the tier from.

matching up people who need tier to people who have tier to rent is not allways easy

I don't know what other groups mean by tier rental, but this is what Supreme Flock of Land Ninjas offers:

Tier Donation:
----------------

We pay L$0.15 per sqm per week for tier donations to our group. [This works out to be L$0.65 per sqm per month]

Tier donation has to be continuous for 7 days. We have a bot that monitors the group and pays out automatically every 7 days.

Donators can remove or lower their tier at any time, however, the 7 day payout is only for the amount that was continuously donated.

Donators can increase tier at any time, but the best day is payday.

To donate tier to Supreme Flock of Ninjas, please IM Skye Whitcroft, Teresa Boyle or Elanthius Flagstaff for an invitation to the group.

Tier Rental:

We rent tier on a weekly basis to other groups for L$0.25 per sqm per week.

One of the Ninjas joins the renter's group as a "member" and donates requested tier.
