I love the Medieval period for rp. Have roamed around Avilion a bit. Besides that sim, what other (populated) Medieval sims would be good to explore?

You & All are welcome to come play in Meglos (aka Tower 6).
A full region of dark gothic & medieval homes and castles, lots of fun folk to RP with. Visit the Red Dragon pub or go exploring in the underground sewer system. (The entrance is by the black stagecoach). Or you can always "hang" around in town square. There's also a rickety pier down by the lumbermill on the beach for launching Pirate ships for naval battles in the open water.

This was my first full sim solo build so I'm kinda proud of it =)

Kasteel Verloren

also search for groups that have medieval themes, most members know where all the best spots are... I think there is an SCA group or two as well... and many of the 'tiny empires' players could direct you too

*shameless plug* Renaissance sim is now just getting started. IM Gayle Starbrook for details.

Vlanderen used to be the site of a popular freebie mall but is now host to an aerial medieval mall above a role playing scenery. I met a couple of the builders when doing it and promised I would return.

I hope I am justified in a little 'shameless plugging' too.

Tin Teddy island- I have a small medieval village in the middle and two castles - Castle Tiberion is hard to miss, on a hillside, with an eagle circling it :-)

I am also fascinated with the medieval era and specialise in making prefabs, castles and other accessories of the period.

But please don't think the island is just my store - I have tried hard to make Tin Teddy somewhere people can have fun exploring.

Glad I saw this thread! Can't wait to see all the suggestions. Do any of these have any fencing/swordplay animations in them?

If you want swordplay try Nordhaven - that is the name of the town, not the name of the sim which is something like Seydisfjordhur - probably spelt wrong.

Most fencing anis are in the swords themselves, good ones for sale in Nordhaven, but loads of other merchants around SL too, my mind has gone completely blank on names though.

Thanks Wulfric - I'll check those out. My friend and I enjoy sword play. I always beat him, but I think that's because he enjoys dying :-)
