crew cut hair?

where can i find a hair texture that come with some male skins. they have like a crew cut. i dont want to make it i just want to use it on the bald base that u change in apperience mode. or if i can find one thats already made as a bald base. i want to where hats without being bald. and yes i can get an avatar with the hair but i cant seem to find one with the right combo i want. chest/facial and head. none out there with all 3 i want them all buit into the skin so i dont have to substitute clothing for hair parts. thanks

I don't know if this is possible with the new Emerald viewer. With the official SL viewer the answer would be to IM the skinmaker for a custom skin. But I heard there are more clothing layers in the 3rd party emerald viewer. This could be a new opportunity if it is.

I have a feeling that what you are looking for is a male skin with the relevant part of the head having a built in tattoo-like imitation of a very short haircut, which means you don't have to have even a bald base to interfere with a hat.

That depends on whether you want to look good to yourself or to others. The Emerald attachment points only look right to other Emerald users. To users of other viewers, those prim parts may be halfway across the room.

KMadd just came out with a crew cut (unisex.) It comes with a bald cap which I assume has painted hair on it (since the sign says you must wear the two parts together.)

This is on the top floor of KMadd/MADesign. The crew cut hair is located just above the "Slide" freebie male hairstyle.

IIRC, the crew cut is 180 $Lindens.

P.S. Pep, the ubiquitous male freebie skin is usually called Michael, although it's been repackaged and even sold, under many names.

The crew-cut: not just for guys

Bryce has some hair called "Hinder" (I think that is the name) which is really pretty short and one of my favorites. It might work okay with a hat.

Another trick you can do (make sure you make a backup copy of your hair first) is to selectively make portions of the hair that stick out of the hat either invisible (using a texture) or scale them down. That way you have a "hat version" of your hair.

Btw, a lot of the better hats out there come with hair nowadays. I won't say *all* hats, because I'm sure there are some good ones that don't. It's just becoming a pretty common thing to include with hats. Look at ARGACE for example — they have many different styles of hats with prim hair.
