Still New To SL Have some questions

Iv been playing Sl for almost a month now and iv had some question in the back of my head.

First off im sorry if i post anything wrong or if this should be in a nother form please let me know.

Now latly iv been wondering around just exploring and having fun but iv seen some female avatars have a pergnate stomack.At first i was shocked and i laughed it off as if it was a dream. Now im rather cuorius.Why would people want to have there Avatar pergnate is it just for looks? I then found out that the avatar babies look like cabage patch dolls? Could someone explane how this all works?

Also iv been courius on how to own my own land and my own house.Iv always dreamed of living on a beach.Can i buy property with my Linden money im earing in SL? Do you have to pay with real money to buy land? My mother wont let me buy anything with real money in games like these.Could some one explane fruther please?

as for pregnant avatars, why ask why?
that is like asking why do some wear blond hair, while others wear green, or why do some choose to be furries while others are gor?

now I have to ask my next question, you mention your mother won't let you use real money in games like this, do you mind if I ask how old you are?

If you are under 18, then you should be on the teen grid, if you are on the teen grid (which I would be wondering why the teen grid allows pregnancy) then you are in the wrong forums.

either way, if you are under 18, you need to contact a linden to help you get to the right place.

Firstly, people like to roleplay all sorts of things in SL that they can't do in RL. Whatever can be imagined, someone somewhere in SL is probably doing it. That talking foetus thing seems weird to me too - not my idea of fun, but *shrug* people are all different.

A woman might want to roleplay pregnancy and having a child for all sorts of reasons. Had you ever considered that some people are unable, for one reason or another, to actually have a child in RL and may therefore want to try to incorporate this into their SL experiences?

Or maybe a man might want to try out being a female in SL and do female things - i.e. being a mother! Pity they couldn't experience the labour pain too; that'd larn them.

As for owning land, yes you can buy SL land with L$ but I'd recommend getting used to how things work around here for a little while first. Read the forums, explore, have fun and just generally find your feet before getting into landowning. Then you'll have some idea of where you want to be and how big a plot you want if you do take the plunge. I'd have thought 18 was old enough to start deciding how to spend your own money but each to their own. Your mother is right to advise treading carefully, though.

You could rent somewhere temporarily if you really want your own base right away, but you don't actually *need* to own or rent land to use SL and have fun. If you want to get into building and making things, you can always practice in sandbox areas in the meantime.

I still want to know is there a form or a link that will let me read up about that avatars being pregnate? and having a baby? i read the form about adoping avatar children and how to become one but wouldnt there be a form for avatar pregnacies as well?

Why be in a hurry? There is plenty of time! Take some time, finish school! Wait until you can earn your own Lindens (and incidentally pay for health insurance), and have a home, then it will be time to think about little bundles of prim goodness.

Go to the Ivory Tower (use "Search" to find).

Learn to make a ball, learn to attach it your avatar, and move it around where you want. And understand that you can make or buy refinements, such as textures, to make it look more realistic. There might be other ways to look pregnant, but you should also learn everything there is at the Ivory Tower before you rent or purchase land (I'd suggest renting first.)

At 18, if you need to ask why someone would want to be pregnant in a game, and do not understand the concept then maybe this game is not for you

if you are talking about the technical side of how does an avatar "get pregnant" they don't

they just use scripted objects and shape changes to appear pregnant and RP it, then when baby comes they RP with a prim baby...

If you need to know more about where babys come from, ask your mom.

as for the land, if your mom will not let you spend your money where you want to, then you won't be able to get land, because either renting, or buying, you will still need lindens, and to get lindens you can either earn them in world (slow process and if you are new, very slow process as most people will not hire new avatars) or you can buy them, but mom won't let you spend your money on a game, so you are SOL

Thinks.......is there any dentistry role-play in SL? Not that I would get involved my teeth are perfect and I don't want anyone putting a drill anywhere near them!

OMG...as an adult female who has been in SL for over 2 years....NOT ONCE has that thought ever crossed my mind! The things I learn in RA is quite amazing!

Well, ummmm, see.... it is like this.......

First the soon to be daddy avi looks at the soon to be mommy avi. With that look in his eye, he leads her to the bedroom and closes the door. Pretty soon you will hear some noises, that hopefully result in a few screams. Then they come out of the bedroom and over the next few days/weeks her tummy gets really big. Pretty soon there is a different kind of scream and then a little tiny goofy looking thing that constantly cries and wants attention appears. After a few days/weeks/months, the tiny thing gets lost in inventory and forgotten.
