Hi,
Can anyone advise on how to get decent LL assistance with a problem that is probably not worth a JIRA, but which gets bounced by the Ticket system?
A friend has a BASIC account.
Her password was reset by the Password Recovery Team.
She logged in under the new password (account?) - her Avie is / remains unable to Tp; unable to interact with the environment; sometimes can chat / sometimes can't. She can only accept Tp offers if they are made from within the same sim / an adjacent sim.
This problem persists whether she logs-in via her home PC _or_ via a laptop with a completely FRESH (i.e. first-time) SL Viewer installation.
She has creted a new Avie - with the same results: unable to Tp, interact, etc.
She has contacted the password recovery team, who have stated "something fundamental is wrong", but then told her to raise a support ticket.
She has raised support tickets under various categories - all of which have been reject by LL's system (remembering she can only submit under pre-set categories)
Going to Linden Village to try and discuss the issue on her behalf (given she can't Tp there) goes down like a lead balloon.
To me, it looks like there is a partial block on her IP....but I can't see why....
Does anyone else have any ideas on how we can get help for her?

Does anyone else have any ideas on how we can get help for her? have her try clearing her cache, and removing the client and reinstalling it If it was an ip block she wouldn't be getting on at all

Might be worth trying a different viewer, like the Nicholaz viewer.

Might be worth checking into why her password was reset. There was an exploit a year or so ago that required a lot of passwords being reset. It may be possible her account has been compromised in some way.

When you uninstall the client, it will not necessarily remove all files. I have XP and I would remove the following directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\Talon\Application Data\SecondLife
That will remove all configuration files that hang around.

That will remove all configuration files that hang around. A fresh install on a different computer would take care of that issue. Which she has done, according to the OP.
