I wasn't sure where to put this, because there wasn't a forum for those seeking land rentals..
I am finally in the market for a home, and I have found a beautiful prefab that I wish to place down. The only problem that I have been finding so far is that 99% of the rental parcels are all "Wonderful beachfront island land!" Well neither would my prefab, my av, nor my personality would fit that type of themed area.
My prefab is going to be a cave, around 800 prims, and it stands about 75m high (Although I think I may mod this thing to be smaller). It's for a 4096 parcel size, so I am in the market for about 8096 or so, so I will have enough prims to furnish the prefab, and have room for trees, etc.
My dilemma is, I can't find anything.. And I have been looking now for a week or so. I am very interested in investing into a reliable and stable relationship with a sim owner, or land owner.
If anyone could lend any assistance, references, people who are trustworthy, etc, please contact me! I would be greatly appreciative!

It is terribly disappointing that so much of the available land is beach or water front. I was looking for a piece of mountain or forest land to put a treehouse on, but couldn't find any. I finally bought half of an open space sim and terraformed it into what I wanted.
I wish more sim developers would create mountains or forests.

With as much granite land as is out there, you would think this wouldn't be a problem. Watch the mainland auctions and then get there when the land is first cut. IM the auction winner and make a reasonable offer to take some of the land off their hands. Now that the ad farmers are facing their demise, you should feel more confident about owning mainland.
Edit: I know you said rent, but considering that most island rentals are on par with LL's tier or more, you may wish to consider owning mainland.

Thank you both for your assistance! I have decided to put off my desire to get my own place until more information is available about this Openspace project. Getting my own Openspace sim is something that I am very interested in doing, and very much within my price range. I am just going to wait for a while and see if an existing sim owner wants to sell some of the new Openspace sims at a reasonable price, and I will snag one up. Again, thank you all. Astray
