Some of the letters in my SL main menu have been messed up for a while.

The E in Edit and the W in World are messed up.

Anyone else seeing this or know how to fix it?

This is with Second Life 1.18.5 (3) Nov 28 2007 13:59:53 (Second Life Release)

https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3947

I shoulda looked in the Jira first.

I upgraded my drivers from the Omega drivers to the current ATI drivers not long ago.

Didn't help the problem I was having but I suppose it did cause the font distortion.

Perhaps maybe possibly https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2410 ? It can produce degrees of distortion.

This problem still exists.

Please vote for this Jira issue.

I would like to upgrade my video drivers and still have clear text in the menus.

FWIW I'm still using Omega drivers (on an old X1950) and have the same issue.

*shrug*

It's past time for my yearly bumping of this thread.

This problem still exists on my system as of last month.

Please vote for this issue. I like to have properly shaped letters in my software. There's only one program that I use that can't draw it's menu correctly. It would nice to have that number reduced to zero.

Thanks.

The url is https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3947 .

Does this need to have the jira updated so it indicates the current version as being affected?

A worthy bump indeed - I've done some considerable upgrading in the meantime (Radeon HD4870 1GB with the latest Catalysts, among other things) and no change.

Harrumph.

I have that too! LOL. I thought it went away but I can still see it even on the SL login screen.
