I checked my PRIM count: Parcel Supports: 468 Prims on Parcel: 482 "G" That would account for it, but pretty weird how you can have more prims on a parcel than the parcel supports though. ![]() Ghost prims maybe? Very strange indeed. _____________________

Parcel Supports: 468 Prims on Parcel: 482 That's your problem in a nutshell. _____________________

Gee, I don't think it's the prim limit that's the problem. "Sim build usage: 482 of 996" (Wording seems a little off there, though... I suspect it's "prim" instead of "build"
... but it doesn't matter on which parcel the prims are used, it's the sim-wide allotment that counts.Any chance that the land is group-owned, build on this particular parcel is enabled only for group, and that you changed the avatar's active group? |

If the land isn't set to group build, then the owner of the group can still build on the land (or anyone in group with "always allow object create" set) but the build button doesn't work....
Try editing an object and then selecting the create prim mode from the edit window... you will probably find that you can build using that. |

I think that may be it. I recently joined the Hippo group and maybe I need to change it back to my group. It is my understanding that I should be able to use all the PRIMs I want either all on one parcel or distributed across all of my other parcels. I'll check tonight when I go back Inworld. "G" 1) You need to activate your group to build on group land (and be very careful about this - it is very easy to swtich to some other group for some reason, start building on your land set to a different group and a few minutes/seconds/etc. later everything "disappears" because of autoreturn - if you have your land set to group build only, that will not happen, though). 2) "It is my understanding that I should be able to use all the PRIMs I want either all on one parcel or distributed across all of my other parcels." - Only on the same Sim. The parcels do not even need to be touching, but they need to be on the same Sim. _____________________

Yes, the proper group needs to be active. The prims on the parcel can exceed the parcel's allotment if you have more land in the same sim (and clearly you do).
You just need to have the same group active as the one that owns the deeded land, if building is restricted to group members. _____________________

I believe that Crystal Gadgets has a little free script that reminds you to put on your group tag if you're not wearing it, just for this reason You put it in a prim that you leave in your personal sandbox.Neat I build so rarely, but I might look at it. I normally build when suddenly inspired, even if I'm standing in the middle of the Forum hangout heheMelty the Snowman ![]() _____________________
