i have posted in the scripting section, but with no luck. i have been trying for the last 6 hours, this is the second time i have tried aswell. i cannot make a script that comes up with a box with "Do you agree to the rules" and gives you a notecard on collision, its bloody lame.
i have been trying and trying all f**ng day and i have just lost my temper with it.
i have crashed my sim 7 times allready and there is allways that stupid icon with an explination mark instead of the notecard, i did think about replacing it with an image but dont know how.
is the script i want even possable to make in SL?

I searched the last 195 posts you made and only found one back in August that was posted in the Scripting Forum, for which it does not appear you made any attempt to follow up on the advice that was offered. You were then trying to merge a notecard giver into a rental box script as I understood it.

I'm not a scripter, but if all you want is a collision activated notecard giver that asks the avatar if they agree to the terms and conditions, I can probably help you with that. But you really should repost your scripting efforts in the scripting forum so people can see and help you with fixing it. _____________________

Chaos, you need an anger management course.
And that script is very simple. You could even pick up a free volume detection script in the NCI freebie packs, and mod it so that it gives inventory. I highly suggest picking the freebie script packs up and studying them. _____________________

There is also a pretty cool scripting university with floors and floors of step by step lessons, but no a notecard giver like this is not hard and there are a few free ones floating around.
Also crashing sims making a notecard giver is impressive even I can't do that _____________________
I know the competition that will come along someday is learning from LL's mistakes. But do they have to make so many? |
