Video Viewing in world is done thru QuickTime
If the video play back on Hulu is quicktime playback then it should work ... EDIT: Looks like they are played thru flash player. I doubt it will work _____________________

Hulu uses DRM on it's custom player and streams, so you don't go and rip the streams to your drive, and distribute them. This DRM system is not available in SL, so playing hulu in SL is not possible.
The only thing SL can play are quicktime compatible streams without DRM. (.mov, .mp4 etc.) _____________________
