I logged on a few days back and my minimap was shrank down to about 1/8th of an inch wide. I cannot click and drag the edges to resize, and can't drag the yellow corner for resize either. The exit "X" is visible but doesn't work. The only way to close it from my screen is the button at the bottom or from the view menu. I use my minimap religiously.. wondered if anyone knew a solution or a reset function or something.

I get that too. My minimap keeps shrinking to a flattened rectangle in the upper right corner. I can drag it out to a normal size but it doesn't save that way. I've done a network cache clear and that didn't help.
The only other thing you can try to reset everything is going to C:\Documents and Settings\(your account)\Application Data\SecondLife and delete all the folders there. These are all the client side preferences which just get recreated when you start up SL again. It does cause all the 'helpful hints' popups to show again. Annoying.
