What has happened to Landmarks?

Hi guys,

Since the last update something has happened to my landmarks. When I go into my inventory, select a landmark, right-click it, I normally would see the Teleport option in the menu. Now I see About landmark instead. My friend says she sees the Teleport option as normal. What has happened, anyone any idea?

Right clicking a landmark in inventory before Update:

Open
Properties
Rename
Copy Asset UUID
Paste
Delete
Teleport

Right clicking a landmark in inventory after Update:

Open
Properties
Rename
Copy Asset UUID
Paste
Delete
About Landmark

Just double-click a landmark to instantlly teleport to it now, if you want "Show on Map" you'll have to go through "About Landmark".

Someone changed the behaviour with a patch and LL always just blindly accepts open-source feature changes (can you tell I don't like the change? :p).

That's what I have been having to do Kitty. What I don't understand is how my friend still sees the Teleport option while I can't. After all, it was a mandatory update this week, so we should all be the same.

Update wasn't mandatory Rock, unless I'm somehow sneaking in under the radar :D

I haven't updated for a while now.

ETA : I also don't get the checkbox because I'm on a Nicholaz viewer that overrides that one.

Define "mandatory" update?

I haven't updated yet. I get the little notification box in the top right of my client, but it isn't mandatory.

I'm waiting for the dust to settle and any bugs to be worked out.

Mandatory means, if you don't update, it won't work at all. You'd get a box telling you that, and it won't let you log in and play using an old version.

Most updates used to be this kind, but they improved the design so most updates are not manadatory.

psst... (I knew what it meant) :-)

My point was that the last update wasn't mandatory so I was curious as to why he called it that.

The OP could have been using the old RC. It expired this week and popped up the "There's a new version available. You need to update in order to use SL." which would give the mistaken impression that the update was mandatory for everyone.
