How does LindenLab differentiate between sexual (underage) ageplay and people who (role)play as midgets engaging in sexual behavior?

There are real life midgets who play Second Life and would sometimes like to create representations of their real selves in SL and by creating midget avatars, and engaging in romantic/sexual relationships with their partners (who may or may not be midgets in SL), they may unknowingly get themselves in trouble.

Of course, ageplay is not only restricted to appearances, but textual roleplaying as well. But if a stranger sees a midget avatar engaging in physical sexual activity with a "normal" avatar and reports abuse to LL, how does LL resolve this problem?

I am sure that LL does not discriminate against midgets.

First off:

Midget - An individual who is short statured but has normal body proportions. The term is considered to be offensive.

Achondroplasia —A congenital disturbance of growth plate development in long bones that results in a person having shortened limbs and a normal trunk.

Secondly:

You don't confuse them because a child will wear children's clothes and speak in a more simple manner.

Their facial structures are a dead give away.

We understand that in some cases there may be an element of subjectivity as to whether an avatar (or other image) appears to be a minor. Objective factors which will be used to decide include whether an avatar has child-like facial features, is sized as a child, has clothing or accessories generally associated with children, and whether, based on the circumstances, an avatar is speaking or acting like a child (e.g. “My Mommy says…”).
I figure... A midget may have harder facial features and a more beady muscle tone. But, the mesh is already pushed to its limits for the small sizes. (^_^)

The other aspect is RP personality. Make your character 18, 20, 30, or so by definition in your profile and don't "wub yew mommie vewwy vewwy mush!" =^-^=

The only one I've ever seen in SL had a very good avatar and was clearly not a child avatar in either appearance or actions.

Don't be so sure.

"I was only roleplaying!!!!" is usually the last defence before the banhammer falls, for a number of offences.

I'ts a judgement call.

I'm sure the likelihood of typical naughty ageplay will be weighed against the possibility of phenomenally short, lovemaking adults for several microseconds before the judgement call is made.

One the one hand, you can [be what ever size] you want but you are not a child until you claim to be a child. You could be a hobbit, a pixie or a fully grown adult phizalthrop from the planet Tripsplat.

On the other hand, LL has a long history of just banning without ever asking questions or investigating the reports. They will not even tell you THAT you are banned, much less WHY.

So you take your chances. Want to be a little person? Knock yourself out. Have fun. Put it in your profile that you are an adult. But nothing, and I mean not one damn thing, will prevent even an 8 foot tall glamazon from being banned on the whim of whatever Linden picked up the bogus AR.

You can do things to lessen the chance that you will be AR'ed but when it happens you are not allowed to argue your position. You will either be banned or you will never know anyone AR'ed you.

Yeah, but aren't most phizalthrops purple? That'd be the giveaway with them. Well, that and the two heads, five eyes and bushy tail.

Is "midget" politically correct? We have "midget tossing" at a local pub, and it's constantly being picketed. Oh hang on....maybe it's NOT because they are calling them "midgets"....

Just make sure you don't use the term 'dwarf' to describe a midget that isn't a dwarf!
That would get a similar reaction to calling a New Zealander an Aussie or describing Britain as 'England'!!!!

I think that if a Little Person (midget) avatar and a full-sized human avatar were to engage in sexual activity in a public space, they would be AR'd very quickly. Particularly if said activity took place on Zindra, where many proprietors are quite clear that child avatars are unwelcome. I would not trust the Linden handling the AR to understand, though it might help if your avatar/clothing etc. were very good, profile were VERY clear and you wore a group tag that referred to being an adult midget/dwarf/Little Person.

I think that such activity on your own land in a mature mainland sim would also be risky. Less so, though, if a bunch of Little People were to band together to get their own sim. Ironically, things would probably go smoother for such an estate if it were to also make it clear that child avatars were unwelcome.

The best place for a Little Person in SL to make their home would be on a good-sized plot on a private residential sim. Again, if a group of Little People could afford their own sim, at least they would be assured to have SOME understanding neighbors.

How many times have we heard of people who set themselves as their RL height of 5'2" and find themselves being accused of being a child despite not having any child-like details? A dwarf is going to have a hell of a time.

AH! This post sparked me! I forgot something! =^-^=

There are a few groups inworld for people who prefer short and scale adult avatars. They usually have tags like "You're too tall" and stuff like that. Packing those groups in your profile would be a surefire way to at least give people a second thought about how they react to you. (^_^)

Still... It will always depend on the person. I know quite a few people who have decided to typecast me because I do go kid once in a while and I'm "not fooling them" no matter how tall I may decide to go. (=_=)y

most places that host for free sex or clubs usually have a height requirement that avatars have to meet..
I don't think you would have much luck convincing a sim owner to risk it..
You may find a few but i doubt the majority would..
It would have to be one heck of a convincing avatar i would think for them to say..oh it's clear you are a small person and not a child avatar.. ;)
