I wish. I'll just drink a scotch to soften the blow.

My first time doing a whole turkey, and of course, I live by myself...
Worst thing is, I don't even celebrate christmas.
I went for vodka to help it down, but looks like we had the same idea.

A good Bourbon is what you serve with turkey. Bah clear booze isn't fit for man nor beast.

Not really talking about what I had *with* the turkey , more about what's trying to get it to stop complaining now it's in my stomach. Don't have any bourbon in, not least because I don't like it - I've got vodka (Belvedere, from Poland), a few red wines (a rioja, and a syrah given to me as a present), and some absinthe that has never treated me too well

From: Twosteppin Jewell The wine then - both bottles. Given that the vodka has been drank, the wine is the next best option Oh, and there's a few bottles of the Rioja

never made me sick when I drank milk with xmas dinner in the past Well, I'm the OP, and I insinuated that i'd had a turkey dinner in the 3rd post, and had been asking for advice the whole thread, really. Milk sooths hearthburn for me but certainly doesn't aid with digestion.

never made me sick when I drank milk with xmas dinner in the past Yeah I was referring to Stephen's turkey dinner. LOL! Rhaorth, there's nothing wrong with milk. I love milk. But if I'm too full, milk doesn't help. It just makes ME more full. Sheesh. And I'm hardly hoity toity. I'm sorry if I offended you. Chill out a little, my gosh! I was JOKING.
