Hi all,
Just wondering if there is a correct way to optimize images to upload into SL that won't be bitmapped or fuzzy. It seems if I take a snapshot, resize and drop it in a frame it look really jagged. Any suggestions?
THanks!

check the sticky thread in texture tips for dimensions you can use:
/109/e6/150360/1.html you'll need to scroll way down for a breakdown of all texture sizes SL allows. |

Though you can upload images in several different formats, usually your best results are with .tga format.

Yup ... the .TGA format is your best bet. 24-bit for anything WITHOUT an alpha channel. If you have an alpha channel, you MUST use 32-bit.
Personally, I typically bring in 512 x 512 @ 72 DPI and SL has no problem scaling and rendering. I will bring in oddball sizes for specific builds or oblong shaped textures, but usuall, 512 x 512 @ 72 DPI |

Where is the snspshot coming from originally? _____________________
