I am part of maybe 1 or 2 a month hunts, not big names but enough that I feel satisfied..

anyway, I have one coming up and I was trying to think of what to make for it...

I assume most hunt for mens and womens clothing.. and I usually pack one for each the last hunt I did I made a sitting couch with modeling poses... not sure how that went over, but! I usually do clothes...

So tell me, do you like finding full outfits, bits and pieces of outfits, formals, slutwear??

This is for a new years theme hunt.... for reference.

appreciate all suggestions.. thanks!

Clothes a ferret can wear. No mod clothes get recycled as nesting material.

"What do you get excited about in a hunt"

That moment when the first Deer comes out from the tree line looking around to make sure everything is ok..then one by one the rest follow out..

That or having to sneak up on one seeing how close you can get before they raise up and feel something is going on..
This Saturday the season starts :D

Either full outfits or broadly useable seperates are great. I never discard a decent pair of jeans no matter how many I have.

Things which get tossed instantly:

- no-mod clothing (with VERY few exceptions)

- store logo items

- tees which are only on the jacket layer

- items which are too topical/odd/quirky to be used more than once (or at all).
Hunt themes can add to the fun but if I start doing the "Avocado Hunt" and the first five or ten items deck me head-to-toe with pictures of avocadoes and avocado prims at attachment points and include furniture with avocadoes perched on all the flat surfaces, etc, I'm probably not only going to toss them all but abandon the hunt as well.

Versatile items. Men's and women's or unisex. Victorian or Gothic is always a plus. No blaring store logos or tacky novelty items...I mean, a store logo can be acceptable if done well, but I never wear a tee-shirt in SL with just a big logo. No blig. Waistcoats, always love waistcoats or tophats. And a reasonable clue to find it...I hate having a hunt item with no clue on a store that covers half a sim.

I prefer full outfits, but not unisex ones. If furniture, I don't want something that I pretty much have to buy more to use it -- i.e. one chair that is no-copy. I have gotten some art work and decorations that I enjoyed, as well as some landscaping items.

My biggie is that, to me, a hunt is giving me a sample of your work. So if you primarily make clothes, don't give me some non-clothing item. I seem to be getting a lot of misc holiday decorations and so forth from dress designers. To me, that is not the purpose of the hunt.

When hiding the item, I like it actually hidden a bit, but not such that I must be extremely adept at camera skills or know many of the Advanced Rendering tricks in order to find it. And I hate items so small that you must literally cover every inch of a store to find it because you cannot see it more than 5m away.

Furniture and landscaping items, actually. Those are things I can usually put to use. After a while, clothes begin to look the same in SL I'm sorry to say.

What I find a real lack of is winter wear. So maybe something along those lines? Sweaters, coats, boots with low heels. Snow stomping items.

I also like to find something I wouldn't have expected. A really nice skin, a fantasy avatar that's really well done. Something unusual in a wig. Really nice jewelry. Those are winners also.
