I asume that's like Remembrance day in the UK?. Like many others, I have worn my poppy for several weeks with pride and today at 1100 hrs. 11/11, I stopped and thought of all my friends and family that have perished in wartime. From my Naval friends during the Falklands, a grandfather from WW11, to a great uncle in WW1. Heroes everyone.

I overheard a couple talking the other day while I was outside a restaurant in RL. The woman asked what veteran's day was for, and her partner explained about how it honored the vets. Then she said, "But how about people who've just have a hard life?"
Struck me funny. I want my own holiday. _____________________

Did anyone else hear all those sirens in the distance? I shed tears sitting there. Deeply moving. It's a tough one for us innit? All those young men in the past and now more. I hope I never take for granted the peace my antecedents fought for. I started up the Jeep, slipped it into gear, and made sure I was alive for their sake. _____________________
