Open up your map and search for Help Island Public. That will get you to an area that is primarily English speaking.

I ref. Fawlty Towers and "The Germans" episode.

Whatever you do, DON'T "do" a Basil Fawlty!

Hi, Mike.

Why the rush? Here's a great opportunity to learn a second language by immersion! :D

At least take a landmark before you go. World menu, "Create Landmark Here".

The landmark for Help Island Public is in your inventory. Open the inventory window, and look in the Library/Landmarks folder. Be sure you are in the LIBRARY folder, NOT the "Inventory" folder.

(Aside: The Library folder is read-only. It contains all of your "basic issue" stuff. The Inventory folder is the one you'll use more often, and where you will keep everything you make or acquire in Second Life.)

Or use Search to find anything else that interests you. Click Search at the bottom center of your screen, then use either the ALL or the PLACES tab. Enter a search term. Then teleport to a location that looks interesting. EVENTS can be a fun area to search, too.

Or click the Map button. Not "Mini-map", but the main Map. Pan over the world until you find something in the landscape that intrigues you and teleport there to see it.

Search "Simbolic" - free translator item (buy for $0 and wear it). :p

Most places in SL are English speaking, so it seems to me. So just search places for whatever type of er, place you wish to find.
