The record of L$ transactions on the my account area only goes back a month. Is there a way to get older records than this?

I think that's it, if you want old records you have to download them to your harddrive on a monthly basis.

LL insist there is no possible way to get old data, even when I told them it was over a legal matter (between me and another resident, not me and LL) they still didn't care.

Given the amount of storage that would be required to keep this data long term, I really can see them having a purge process in place for this - especially since they have always claimed that the L$ does not have a real life monetary value. Sucks for us, but I can see their side on this.

Not really. How many total sign ups ever are there? A couple million? How many bytes would transaction history take up per month on average? 10,000 maybe? That's 10GB per month. I could store 100 months worth of all the data for all the customers on just a couple 1TB hard drives at a total cost of about $250. Even if I'm off by a factor of 10 or 100 you could still keep a years data in a pretty reasonable amount of space.

Yeah, as I go thru the calcs, the space is not really as much as I originally guessed. My history for one month is only roughly 128 kb, so estimated at 1.5-2.0 mb per year. I imagine someone doing lots of business transactions might have 10 times that, but we are still only talking 15-20 mb a year for a pretty small percentage of the total number of residents and a much smaller amount for the majority.
