Rented a piece of land yesterday and it said 784 sq. meter.
would anyone know the actual dimensions of the land?
Because i rezzed a house there and it was too big so i had to delete the house, only thing is every house is measured like 20x10.
Please Reply ASAP.

Please Reply ASAP. The actual dimensions on the land could be anything that adds up to 784 sq. meters. There are no set dimensions and the land can be any shape. You can view the boundaries of the land if you want. Someone else can chime in if I'm wrong, but I think it's in View - Show Borders or something like that. You can also check "about land" when you are standing on the lot and it will give you the details of the land like square footage, prim allowance, etc.

A 512 is usually 32x16 Sounds like you have a 512, 256, and 16
whatever the configuration is... 512=32x16 256=16x16 16=8x2
These may be off depending on how the land is actually laid out

Please Reply ASAP. Is it too big because of the dimensions, or too big because of the prim limits? Click on show borders (I think under View), and you can measure the dimensions either by walking the four corners of your borders and noting the coordinates at the top, or by going to Build, rezzing some 10 m x 10 m boxes until you fill your land area.

On the view menu, there are two handy options. One is 'Property lines", which highlights just the edges of all parcels. The other is "Land Owners" Which will change the terran color, highlighting what you own in one color, and what others own or what groups own with other colors.
A 512 m2 parcel is usually 16 M by 32 M, and allows you to rez up to 117 prims. So unless the parcel is oddly shaped, your 784 M parcel should have enough ground area to rez a 20 x 10 building, if it was oriented the right way, and should allow you to rez about 179 prims.
If the house was more than 179 prims, it would be "too big", even if it was only 5 m by 5M in size for the base.
Once you can see the edges, use the edit land tools to select the land area. It will snap in 4M increments. Count those, and you'll know exact dimensions.

If your parcel is rectangular, then since it has to be made up of a multiple of 4x4m squares it can only be 28x28... however it may be an odd shape, as has been suggested view property lines and you can see..

Don't be surprised if it isn't all one contiguous piece. It's possible you own some disconnected pieces in the same sim that were joined together. Voice of experience talking here.

To measure your parcel:
1. Check View/Property Lines. 2. Turn off rendering of any water or existing prims that block your view of the land. Do this in Advanced/Rendering/Types. (Get the Advanced menu with CTRL+ALT+D). 3. Right click in your parcel and select Edit Terrain. 4. Use the Select Land tool to measure your boundaries. It selects in 4x4 meter increments, with a little "bump" as each is added, so it's easy to count the number of squares selected.

I actually find View->Land Owners to be far more useful in seeing what I own (Green or Teal if group owned) - property lines are quite faint otherwise.

Usually if you just right click on your land you'll see the yellow boarder lines in yellow. But like someone said, it may have been the prims count.....or possibly you had the house moved over the edge of your proprty line and didn't realize it. If you need a nice low prim home.....check out Ace's Spaces.....they have some great designs with really low prims. I've used many of their buildings and they're great.
