You need two types of software. Something to broadcast with, and a streaming audio server.
For the first I strongly recommend sam broadcaster, though if you can't affored it or don't want to pirate it, winamp also has some nice plugins that will allow you to broadcast from winamp.
The second will most likely be Shoutcast, there are alternative servers, but don't waste your time. Shoutcast is a program you run, and you connect your broadcasting program to it. All your listeners will connect to shoutcast as well to listen, this is done by setting your shoutcast url in about land for the parcel in SL you want to play in.
Lots more info on each of these programs, and how to use them, can be found through a simple google search.
Also, you either need to have an insainly excellent internet connection with mind blowing bandwidth, or you will need to pay real money to rent a Shoutcast server from someone that does.

I DJ using SAM broadcaster and rent a stream from Jamie Otis in world. Its really very easy If you like you can IM me in game and I can give you some help.
