A friend of mine had his account put on hold for one hour because LL says that real life information in profile were missing. Them were probably missing because nobody asked for them in the registration page ( check at http://www.secondlife.com/join ). I haven't put my real name when i signed up... will LL hold my account too? i don't know where to put them, in contact info where he put his name, i have email change only... Thank you

Submit a support ticket. This is what I did, and they fixed it for me.

From: Viviana Sorbet A friend of mine had his account put on hold for one hour one HOUR? I don't think LL can fix something that quickly? Alot of folks complain about it taking days or longer. Are you sure it wasn't just that the server was down or that logins were temporarily disabled? There's been alot of that lately.

They don't really care about that info when you sign up, but if you turn out to not meet the community standard, they use it as an excuse to freeze the account.

From: Day Oh They don't really care about that info when you sign up, but if you turn out to not meet the community standard, they use it as an excuse to freeze the account. i asked him exactly what happened: he was forced logged out by an administrator (the message said that), then, 30 mins later, he received the email saying he was missing RL info. He entered name and surname in the contact info page (where i see email only) then his account was re-enabled The signup page don't ask for RL name and surname, the contact info don't show or allow me to change RL name and surname, how can i avoid to be put on hold? i don't know what was he doing when he got the force logoff, but no human had talked to him or done anything manually.

I just walked through the signup page and there really is no place to enter your name and/or surname anywhere in the process.
So why should we have to have our accounts frozen because it is missing when they never asked for it in the first place?

Well good luck to LL when they freeze all of the accounts that have signed up recently.
