Just wondering if they send me an email like, "we investigated and their account is suspended now" (or something like that?) How long can it take after i AR'd someone, until they do something? And do i get an email after they did something? Would be nice to know if they did.

Nope. You get an email saying they received the AR then never hear anything else.

If it's a bannable offense, you can occasionally do a search for the av. If they don't show up, they're banned. I'm unsure about suspensions, though.

I AR'd someone with an offensive name once and he disappeared right before my eyes in under 30 seconds. I had him muted and he disappeared from my mute list. I was able to search for the avatar's name in order to file the AR but after the AR I couldn't find it again. It was a really offensive name so I guess LL reacts quickly to that. They didn't send any confirmation message to me either.

Suspensions and bans look the same in the people tab, just missing :/ The old blotter still exists, but it is incomplete: http://secondlife.com/support/incidentreport.phpThere is also an RSS version that can be used to grab stuff before the 25 entries scroll off. It seems to be a little flaky about updating these days: http://secondlife.com/community/blotter-rss.php

I got an IM from a Linden once (don't want to say who it was) that I had been accused of something. I guess this was an AR ... I had only been in Second Life for about six months. They asked for a TP. which I sent them. They looked around my place for a bit, never saying more than hello, and left after about ten minutes without saying goodbye. I never heard another word about it, and wasn't about to ask!

Ar Team Is Resi Team(?)
05-08-2009 08:40
The Friday fluffy blog is about the AR Team aka RESI Team (Resident Experience Support Inworld team). https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/community/support/blog/2009/05/07/resi-lifeIt does not say much - just a PR piece about customer service. No news about fixing the AR system, how to contact the RESI Team when needed or their complete task descriptions or team member's names. What we do know is that none of them have any professional experience in the field of community development. From: someone They came from a variety of backgrounds, such as law enforcement, graphic design, support, bartending, animal rescue, managing restaurants, and RL building construction. . .

The Magic AR fairies take your AR and print it out on biodegradable paper, bury it in soft peat for six months, and recycle it for firestarters.

I always kind of thought that ARs went to the same place that the requests to support@secondlife.com went. LL has apparently found a way to create a tame black hole.
Sometimes they do act on ARs, but the only way you'd find out is if it's a "visible" response.. like prims over property lines or the idiot decides to hang around and grief you for days....
