I don't know anything about HippoVend, but I do know that Hippo Technologies has a 'Hippo Technologies User Group' for helping assist people with issues and questions and whatnot. It's by invite only, but says who to contact for an invite.

Also, the Hippo Technologies owner (Or one of them, at least) says to contact 'one of our support team' if you need assistance, and they are Samos Brissot or Raven Schwade.

I'm sure that while someone here may be able to help you, one of those three (Andy Enfield, the owner, being the third) would be able to offer more detail and assistance, having had some part in it's creation, or at least experience in helping users with their issues with their products.

While this forum is lovely, it's usually better to contact the creator or support groups for product help, as it keeps forum clutter down, and gets you just about the best help you'll get, since they made the product.

Hopefully someone helps you out, but always remember, most creators (Or at least those with complex products) are willing to help, or have a support group set up in-world.

The quickest and easiest way to accomplish what you want it to create groups for your items that you want in different vendors. When you configure the vendor, set it to show only items in the group you want. There are other ways you can sort things to show in different vendors, but the quickest and easiest is using groups.

you have clicked (i think ) update on the server in world? you need to ensure the vendor has registered itself with the website.

Ok, I'm sorry. I used the term "group" where I should have used "range."

First, on the Hippo website, go to the section for PRODUCTS AND RANGES.

In the middle of the page, look for "Create a new product range named __________" right there is where you create a product range -- choose a name for the range that will help you identify it later for your vendors. For example, if one vendor is going to have furniture, name a range furniture. If one vendor is going to have houses, name that range houses.

Now, create your second product range.

Once you have both ranges created, you need to edit each item (the little pencil icon) and on the Edit Existing Item page, find the drop down box PART OF RANGE. Assign each item to one of the two ranges you created depending on which vendor it is to appear in.

Once you have all items assigned to a range based on vendors, configure your vendors to only show items from that range.

wow just reading that part makes me want to go out and get the hippovend system. LOL

it actually sounds like it is easier than the jevn system with all the notecard stuff.

hmm do I foresee a use for vendors... nah not at this time.

but wow, nice info!

hippovend can be really confusing when first setting it up, but any question you have can be answered on the website. They also offer support.
