Land bots have not been outlawed as of yet.

Now that the landbot problem has been presented in these forums, I'm sure the matter will be resolved satisfactorily in short order.

LOL!!!

...I remember when the 1st big wave of em made a big stir in these forums, I had just started flipping land & I quit shortly after that. Not that I *had* to, it's just so much more aggravating competing w/ what I call "Skynet Realtors"...they really should be outlawed. I mean I heard Lindens said it's not an unfair advantage because anybody can get a land bot, but it seems like if everybody went & started using land bots it would possibly drive prices down, so I don't know why LL condones them.

ethical landbots (Ninjaland)
02-03-2009 13:33
I never thought I would make a mistake setting a parcel for sale,
but I goofed up this morning, and a Ninjaland bot swooped in.
The problem was that I set the price wrong -- not a price that
was absolutely impossible to believe, just a lot lower than I intended.
(I'm not sure how I blew it...I was fiddling several 1024 sqm parcels there.)

I asked Elanthius, the landbot owner, what happened (I wasn't even
sure exactly what I did, as transactions don't post that quick).
His response was to give me back the parcel for the same amount
that his bot purchased it for.

I find this to be remarkably good of him, and he has earned my
complete respect in this. I no longer believe that all land-bots
are evil disreputable people. Quite the opposite in this case!

I've been here for over 2 years, and this is quite a surprise for me to be reporting this.
