Moving my house -- a way to move everything inside it as well at the same time?

I built a house on my land, got it all set up inside -- and now I realized that I wanted it facing another direction. BUT, when I go to move the house, only the house itself moves, everything else inside stays right where it is, floating in midair. Is there a way to move everything all together (all I'm doing is rotating it 180 degrees)? Or do I really have to manuall move everything?

Right click the house like normal … once you’re in edit mode, do a left click and draw a box around your house … you should see all your items being selected. Once they are then proceed with rotating as normal and everything selected will move with the house. hope this helps you out ....

You're my savior! I was getting so frustrated. I probably seem like such a dork with my threads asking totally noobish questions...SL just is so complicated and encompasses so much, it's tough to learn it all as fast as you need to. Thankfully you're all here!

Just doing our job, Viv.
You're right...this stuff can really frustrate you, and it's good to have a bunch of people you can ask. That's why I love these forums! Well, that and Maureen's breakfasts.

Note that you only select the items you can see at that distance. So small prims can sometimes be missed.

What I usually do is start with the drag select, as described above, then walk through the building and make sure the small stuff, like the flower vase on the dresser, or the picture on the mantle, or that set of pose balls in the corner, also get selected, by shift-clicking to add them.
Also, make sure you have "Select only my objects" checked in the Tools menu, so you don't acidentally try to select part of your neighbor's basement...

NOW you tell me!
I have a house all in pieces in my inventory... some day maybe I'll get out a big puzzle board in the sky and put it back together.

Thankfully you're all here! I came to SL from 8 years of EQ and found quite a learning curve with SL. One of my friends from IRC came to SL, stayed about 2 hours, said "This sucks" and never returned. A year later, I'm still learning all kinds of new things. So you're doing great!!! Glad to have you in SL and on the forums

Just remember that the saved house may appear in your inventory with the name of the item you first clicked on... I saved a house, with contents the other day, and it showed up in Recent Items as a "crumbly" named "tulips" )))

From: Czari Zenovka Errr, what's a "crumbly?" I'm guessing a coalesced object, the icon for which resembles a 'crumbled' cube. Good name for it, actually
