Sudden Loss of 200 inventory items due to Library change

I had a shock this morning, cause my inventory had shrunk by 200 items since yesterday. I finally figured out it was the library section, which has lost all the old default avatars like "nightclub male". LL shouldn't scare those of us who keep an eye on our inventory by doing things like that without warning.

I noticed the same thing (although yesterday already) when my count was 200-300 lower than it should have been :eek:.

You could append the -noinvlib parameter and not fetch the library altogether, or someone could start a JIRA to only count your own inventory and not what's in the library.

I suspect from the look of it you add it to the command line in the shortcut similar to the -multiple to let you run more than one copy simultaneously.
I've added it and will see next time I log off/on.

I'm surprized that the "Library" items count toward the total shown. Makes it very hard to see what you really own.

Windows:

* Right click your "Second Life" shortcut and select "Properties"

* In the target field, look for the end of the "Second Life" command string

* Somewhere between that and the end of the line add "-noinvlib"

*click "OK"

Sowwies, running multiple SL sessions comes up so often I thought that everyone would know by now :o.

Imnotgoing Sideways' description will work :), just make sure to add it outside (and behind) any quotes (you'll only have those if there is a space in the path to the SL installation folder).
