Textures seemingly alpha

I have been uploading textures, both normal ones and sculpty ones this morning, and now suddenly, no matter what format I use, be it:

TGA 24 bit
PNG
JPG
BMP

The texture is always showing inworld as an alpha. So, if I make a solid texture on a couch, it will act as though it is somewhat alpha.

Does anyone know if this is something I can fix? Or can I make a change in the way I am uploading them? Saving them? Anything.

Thank you.

i would let things settle down on the grid before you go making changes..anything could be the reason right now..it's so up in the air when grid days like this happen..

The texture is not set to partial transparency on the prim itself is it?

If not, there was a thread somewhere about getting the latest drivers for your video card. Someone had an entire avatar that looked like a ghost - which I thought was cool, but only if it's intentional.

I did update my drivers. The prims have zero transparency settings.

No more uploading until I figure this out. If anyone has any suggestions or experiences with this, please let's talk about it.

one thing you might do to help figure out where the problem is, is to select the texture then press ctrl-alt-shift-t . This will at least tell you if Second Life thinks the texture has alpha (but that doesn't report on prim properties).
