thanks all who helped with my previous laptop question.

i'm still looking for a new one so, let me try again....

Compaq Presario F730US
This laptop features the dual-core 1.8GHz AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 TK-55 processor
1GB of DDR2 system memory (if necessary i could upgrade to 2 gb)
hard drive features a 120GB capacity
advanced NVIDIA® GeForce® GO 6000M graphics and 288MB of shared video memory

it will work, you wont be able to crank everything up...but it will work ok...

and its likely a 6800 go...with 256mb of memory

Order an extra 1GB of RAM. SL benefits from having 2GB, plus most of us have other programs open during SL anyway (Photoshop, Firefox, etc.)

Also, make sure your hard drive is at least 7200RPM. A slow hard drive can seriously impede your SL experience, due to all the content caching.

As has been said, put in 2GB and I think you'll be fine. With any laptop and SL I'd recommend being able to test it with SL before you buy.
