One of the files that comes (or at least used to come) with LibSL, now LibOMV, is an application called SLICE.

SLICE examined your inventory and did a dump of the contents.

I was looking for a BVH file to upload, and I came upon a bunch of them in a directory called slice.

I had apparently used the SLICE application to see what it did a few years ago, and what it did was to produce over 2,500 files, including some BVH files, which I'd forgotten about.

If you've done the same you might want to free up some disk space by deleting them. 2,500 less files is a good thing.
