Stuck with a blue menu on screen

Help please!

I have a house with one of those fancy door scripts with lots of options. I've never set any, but just left it at default.

Today I left clicked on the door and opened it and a blue options menu was displayed top right - and I can't get rid of it. Clicking the ignore button does not get rid of it, neither does clicking any other button, nor re-setting the door scripts. It's stuck on the top right of my screen now, wherever I go.

Does anyone know anything else I can try - short of de-rezing the building and re-rezing it again?

Doors are usually NOT attached to the rest of the building, so chances are you can simply take the door and then re-rez it. Sounds like a script getting caught in some kind of loop.......I know there are others here who know a lot more about these script glitches....
Have you re-logged.....cleared cache and re-logged?

I've had menu scripts get hung up in the past.......usually they go away.....but I'm sure there's a more technical answer then what I can offer. :p

Try "stand" and then "stop" - when I am on the ol' sex-animes that usually works. Oh, wait this is a door? Nope, can't help ya. :)

Thanks Guys - I'll try clearing cache before I try anything more dramatic. I think these doors are attached - it's quite a big build with a rez faux system to get it set up. If I note down the co-ordinates, it shouldn't be too tricky to get it back in place, if it comes to re-rezing.

Goodness knows what caused this glitch, it's been working fine for almost a year.

Meanwhile, if anyone comes to visit, please use the back door - that seems to be working ok!

Did you get my joke? The blue menu and sex-balls? I thought it was hilarious. :)

Yes, thank you Jig. I know I could be stuck with a more embarrassing blue menu on my screen.

Come in by the back door dear - the front door is being repaired.

If it does come to re-rezzin your building … one trick I have done in the past to get the building back to it’s co-ordinates, is make three prims and place them long the X/Y/Z Axis. Then align your building up with these prims. I had to do this a few times after hosing up my house a few times.

Thanks Dick - good idea :)

It's all so tedious I had to out and buy myself a sticky bun as a treat! So, I'm off to re-rez the house and then enjoy my bun with a cuppa.

If something has happened to mess up the script you can probably fix it by selecting door and resetting the scripts in it.

Some door scripts were doing that a long time ago and need updated probably but there is a fix to it.. Well kind of temporary cause if its done it once it can do it again.

Keep in mind you may not know which door is actually doing the blue popups if you have a building with several of the doors with the same scripting..

If you happen to know that a particular door is the only one you touched and then you got the pop ups you can try editing just the door and resetting the scripts. ( tools> reset scripts in selection ) If for some reason you can't get that to work, you can try edit>edit linked parts, unlink the door and pick it up and set it back down and perhaps it will reset on rez.. If that doesn't work you may have to just re rez the building as was mentioned before.

Regardless of what you do to fix the issue you will probably need to update the doors by contacting the creator. Those types of things are easy to update for any creator and no one should have a problem replacing and fixing those doors for you.

If you can't get them fixed contact me and I'll give you a set of scripts that will fix that problem for you for good and let you have some peace from your blue pop up menus.

Thanks everyone - resetting scripts didn't clear it, so I re-rezd it and that seems to have solved the problem. Just one of those SL glitches I suppose. If it re-occurs, I'll contact the creator, as Loki suggested.
