hello,

I want to adopt a different personality without having to create a new logon id.

All I need to do is use a different avatar (I know how to do this) and change my profile.

My current profile is quite detailed and I want to 'store' it before I change it, so that I can switch back if & when I want to.

How do I store or save my profile before changing it ?

You can't - not in SL. You can't switch between profile details. You could copy and paste the text from it and save in a text file in your computer, but that's about all you can do.

As far as I know there is no way to back up an entire profile. I would suggest you copy as much as you can in a notecard.

Use the Notes tab of your profile to make note of what Picks you currently have and any other small notations about things that cannot be copied/pasted to a notecard -- nobody but you sees the Notes tab.

As the others here have mentioned, this isn't something that's available as a viewer feature... HOWEVER, i think it sounds like an awesome idea!

It seems there are a good amount of people out there who have different looks/involvements within one avatar. Having a method to save an entire profile and switch between saved profiles at will could be really handy for a lot of people.. and possibly grow as a niche, especially for RP.

Oxymoron, since you presented the idea i think it only fitting that if a Jira is created for this, that you should go ahead and throw it in there. Let us know if yu do.. i know you have my vote.
