Having troubles with TPs?

Since December 13, I've been having major issues with teleports. It would clear up for a day and I'd think....whew! and then it would be back the next day. I could maybe teleport one time, and then I was stuck at home. Multiple support tickets ensued, and the Lindens have been scratching their heads, although Data Linden asked me yesterday for my logs.

When I had complained about the TP problem here in the forums, someone suggested I change my hair, and I did *see* the post, but never acted on it.

Last night, I recalled the post, and changed my hair to the one found in this picture:

It is low prim, so I put it on and immediately was able to teleport. Put my usual style back on and I could still TP, but it was obviously slower. Put the low prim one back on...fast and no hesitation.

I was shocked to discover that my normal hairstyles contain from 158 to 232 prims!

I'm not calling this "resolved" just yet, I'd like to hear what Data Linden comes back with, but if you're having trouble TPing, change your hair to something low prim and try it!

Huh, I'd forgotten about the primless TP to make TPing easier. I'm rather spoiled by having had functional TPing for so long.

This advice is older, when TP failure was high. We'd strip off all the prim attachments and then TP. It was a pain, because we had to wait to rez and then put our prims back on.. not to mention bald girls being seen in public. But it worked.


Now that you mention TP issues. I had a "double TP" occur fo the first time in a long time. For the new users: A "double TP" is when you teleport somewhere, get to your destination and then all of the sudden have the TP screen and load bar come up for a second time. Sometimes, you'll find yourself unable to move after that and will need to log to fix it.

Of course, I wound up logging out to fix the lack of being able to move.. and found myself in the Bear Info area with a few nude people. And those mega prim screens destroy the artistic nature of the Info Hub.

I've been getting the double TPs too, and have visited a couple of the hubs lately. They aren't pleasant places to be stuck. :/

But, I have low prim hair, so hopefully won't visit again for awhile

If you do, take the jewelry and shoes off too. At least then you don't have to worry about them going up the bum if that particular bug rears it's ugly vacuum of a hole again.

I kind of miss the days of landing somewhere and then searching to see what part of my anatomy my hair and shoes had re-attached to, since it was usually but not always up the arse.

I've had TP problems since December as well.

I was blaming my inventory but it would seem i am wrong.

I have problems too, mostly doubles or I get the "try again in a few minutes message" I had no idea the amount of prims made a difference, must remember that one.

I will say, the double tp has happend to me on several occasions... Lately since the increase in users online tping is iffy at best for me... My hairs I wear are normally not high in prim count and I tend to dress for a low arc... There is no explination for the failed tp's I've been having lately, consistantly.

I don't miss landing somewhere and finding my head wedged up in my doggie butt. That was rather disturbing.

Hey, one thing I just recalled about TP issues.. LL is working on LLnet, remember? If they've starting moving to the production level testing, we're going to see more TP quirks the kinks get worked out off the tubes. But if it does eventually speed up the process of TPing, I won't complain about the shake down runs...

LLnet?? I haven't heard of this...
