I never have, and never will understand the point of blocking (or rather redirecting) the entire secondlife main page with no links to the rest of the web content etc.... just to tell us the grid is down...
ok so I have bookmarks for the forums, the wiki, and a few other things... but what if I want to dl a new client? check a support ticket? dive through the help base?
hey LL(or employee thereof), if someone reads this (and I have my doubts) would you stop that, please? seriously

The secondlife.com site only gets redirected when the database is completely down. The database being down means that the majority of functions on secondlife.com (anything that requires login) won't work, so they just shut down the entire site when that happens. |
