Forgive me if this has already been addressed but I have to ask as it might be relative to the new happenings with SL.
I created a new pair of prim shoes. When I went to edit appearance to create a new pair of shoes (to edit the feet to wear the shoes that I had created), I clicked save all and nothing. No new feet...er shoes. I checked my recent items, which in itself doesn't seem to work for me anymore since the updates, and then went back to my inventory to look under clothes. No feet...er shoes. I waited, thinking lag might be the issue but still, no feet.
Is this a known borkage since the update or what might I be doing wrong?

"Save All" would simply save all the different layer changes to whatever you're already wearing. If you want to save it as a new item under a different name you should be picking "Save As"? (Not really sure I'm getting your question )

I created a pair of prim shoes. In order to wear the shoes properly, the avatar feet need to be edited by right clicking on and editing appearance and then choosing the shoes button. I edited the feet with the shoe button as normal and clicked save all. Even by clicking save all, there should be "new shoes" in my inventory. If I had of used "save as" then the edited shoes/feet would be given the name I saved them as...I had just intended to find them in my inventory and rename them there.
But they're not in my inventory. And nothing that I've picked up since yesterday is showing in my "recent" inventory so I couldn't find it that way. Normally things such as shoes will save in the clothes folder.

It sounds to me like the most recent borkage is not as fixed as LL would like to believe: [ From: someone RESOLVED] Intermittent inventory and login issues Sunday, April 6th, 2008 at 3:40 AM by: Lotte Linden [RESOLVED 04:21 AM PST] The faulty server is back in line, and you should see no more problems.
*****
We have seen reports that a number of our residents see inventory related problems, such as slow or no loading, problems in picking things up etc. Those same residents might find themselves unable to log back in if they left Second Life.
The underlying problem here is one of our asset servers. Our Ops Team is aware of the situation and working to resolve it as quickly as possible. As for the Recent Items list, have you tried changing the filters on it to show everything from 1 day back? Sometimes the default setting doesn't work, but using the filters will. .

LMBO - Ok let me try this again.
You know when you buy a new pair of shoes like maybe Zhao, or most any other prim shoe? It comes with a base foot that you need to wear before putting on the shoe. Just as a bald base sometimes comes with hair. The foot has to be edited to wear the prim shoe. So I edited a foot for the shoe I created. This edited foot saves as a new shoe. The foot edit didn't save. I checked again last night and still no foot.
Maybe I'll try again. I did notice that the recent items issue is working now. Maybe this time it will work.

have you tried creating a new shoe instead of editing a previously made one? If you (in appearance mode) choose create new and then save it, it should be saved in the clothing folder

Yes, that's what I did...it just never went into the folder..I even tried it twice. I think I'm going to sum it up to SL borkage. I'll probably try again tonight.
