Any have and SL Blog loop and no page loading?

I've been having the following problem when trying to access the SL blog.

I get messages on my browser's status line that say:


not in that order. They don't stay long enough to see them properly. I had to do print screens and paste into a paint program to see them and I never could catch the one with Google in it.

This will continue apparently forever.

I was hoping to see something about the 503 errors in the forums.

I could ask inworld but the group chat isn't working and I've just been disconnected from the grid and am moving very very slowly towards an infinite abyss.

I am not having any trouble getting to the blog page at all and see nothing there about the 503 errors. That said, I'm still getting 503'd to death, yet LL has closed my ticket on it 3 times now telling me the issue is resolved. I'm actually getting tired of re-opening it.

I got the 503 Service Unavailable message when first trying to respond to this post.

I've been getting the blog not loading loop for days now, not all the time, but it is mighty annoying, especially when you are trying to find a blog post on the 503 errors.

There's ample coverage of the 503 error but I haven't seen any mention of the blog loop.

The loop did finally terminate.

The url shown in the address bar after it stopped was "http://blog.secondlife.com/remote-login.php?login=56013a93d52fb19d43a7144a3f7c1f3d"

and the page text shows: "Invalid key." where the blog page should be displayed.

Well, at least the new outfit I bought yesterday kinda matches the fog in the disconnected SL world on the other computer.

The forum cartel needs to changes the group name to 503 Service Unavailable Cartel.


Well I've just made a blog post about the 503 errors. I'm sure parts of LL is aware of them, and that they continue. It was reading the reply from the LL outsourced customer service department to the effect that the problem was fixed that motivated me to post at this point about a problem as well known as the 503 error.

I also posted in the facebook Second Life Residents group on the wall and added my signature image of the 503 error to that facebook group's photo's.

I'm using the Flock browser, a Firefox variant.

Does the Blog use Flash?

I don't think Flock does Flash, or at least not the latest version. That's the only thing I know of that is abnormal and bad about Flock.

Probably unrelated but FWIW, for me, the blog loops on load frequently with Firefox on Linux, from long before the 503s started. Once it starts, I've found no way to get it to stop without closing Firefox altogether and starting it afresh without restoring the previous session. I've never seen this on Windows, but I've also never seen any other page do this to me on Linux.

Well I'm on Windows and it does a bunch in Flock, which is a Mozilla - Firefox offshoot. (Not bad, by the way, I wasn't expecting it to pull me away from Opera, but it did, at least for awhile.)
