So I was on my *locked* building platform yesterday, sorting inventory. I rezzed something, decided I didn't need to do it, and deleted... the platform. Luckily I was sitting on my cushion and didn't go plummeting headlong toward the ground.
I found the platform in my trash, restored it, and rezzed it (after a moment or two when I didn't think I was going to be able to). It was still locked, and I had to manually unlock it before I could reposition it in the right place. I'm glad I was able to rez it, but not sure I should have been able to.
I was going to chalk it up to SL weirdness, but I thought I'd ask here - has anyone else had this happen? Is it worth mentioning to LL anywhere? I wasn't going to, but maybe they'd like to know.
Hm - I think I'll hop in-world and see if I can delete locked things again. Probably just a fluke.

Locking only prevents movement, not deleting/taking/returning.
You do get an extra pop-up dialog ("At least one of the items in your selection is locked" or something similar) when you try to delete or take it but LL still makes the confirmation button the default on a lot of their dialogs so it can be confirmed by an accidental keypress rather than a conscious mouseclick.

Thanks, Kitty.
I just tried to delete my platform again and got the popup. I think I may even have seen it yesterday and thought it was the "you are about to delete a no-copy item" warning for the thing I was trying to delete.
So, not a fluke, a flake - me!
