When I put a hat on my hair shows over the top of it. Removing my hair makes me look obviously bald. Do I need special hat hair? Where do i get it? Maybe theres a trick in the EDIT of the hat. Please help, winters coming! Thanks in advance Helm x

It depends on the hat and the hair.
I've seen several women's styles that come with a hat.
If the hair is copy/mod, then you can make a copy of the hair, and either delete or move the offending prims.
For the hair I wear with my hat, I found a style that almost fit under the hat, then I lowered the hair (letting my scalp show through), and fit the hat on like that. It looks great, as long as I don't take my hat off!
Good luck with your search!

Hats are buggers to wear with certain hairstyles. I can spend half an hour modifying an hat to look good on my head with a certain hairstyle and I'm male, no buns, no pigtails, no BIG hair. Sometimes, the hat can be slightly over sized and if it sits well on the head it's not so noticeable either.

The usual approach is to create a special set of hair to wear with this particular hat by moving, chopping up and deleting the individual locks of hair that stick out. It's a long and painful procedure, but it works.
