OK, got my new nVidia 8600GT on Friday and installed it yesterday. I decided to d/l the new release of Windlight and I'm loving it. But I'm noticing something that I can best describe as "jet streams" eminating from people and myself now when I dance or fly. Is there a way to turn these off? They're a bit annoying.

I'm not sure what jet streams mean. I'm using an 8600GT card too with everything maxed out except draw distance in preferrences and I don't have what you are disscribing. Can you post a link to a snap shot?
You might check your nVidia control panel and play around with the graphics settings for the card. I have mine set for "quality" and have no issues.

Sounds like you accidently enabled show updates from the client menu. Anyone happen to have that keyboard shortcut handy? Mari
